The brightness can be controlled by selecting a runtime or the runtime controlled by selecting a light output level. The Intelligent Control System which calculates and displays current battery life. Additionally, it allows the user to regulate the intensity of the light, choose the desired run time or select from three pre-set power levels.
A 12V power outlet including a dual USB adaptor, provides power for peripheral devices.
There is an integral multi-terrain trolley with a retractable pull handle and stainless steel ball-bearing 1.5 inch polyurethane wheels.

The light output is fully adjustable for runtimes from 3 to 24 hours.
The Intelligent Control System allows runtime selection with the light output automatically adjusting to that setting – select a shorter runtime to increase the light output or select a longer runtime to reduce the light output.
BEAM SPREAD – 120 degrees
TELESCOPIC MAST LIGHT HEAD – Maximum height 2019mm – Light heads can be rotated to 360 degrees and can also be tilted vertically.
BLUETOOTH OPERATION – allows the 9440 to be operated via the Pelican RALS app. Search the app store for “Pelican RALS” and download it to your smart phone. This can be used to switch on/off or to change light output level.

BATTERY STATUS INDICATOR
The light head will flash for 3 seconds every ten minutes when the Intelligent Control System detects that there will be insufficient voltage to power the light in 30 minutes at the current usage rate
BATTERY CHARGING – The battery can be left on charge whenever the unit is switched off. This ensures that you always have a fully charged unit ready for immediate use. It cannot be overcharged. A full charge requires 8 hours.
The battery can be left on charge whenever it is not in use so that you will always have a fully charged unit ready for use. It cannot be overcharged. The electronics will detect when full capacity is reached and revert to a maintenance charge just sufficient to replace internal losses. The unit cannot be used while it is being charged.
INGRESS PROTECTION RATING – Rain is not a problem. The 9440 has an Ingress Protection rating of IPX4 – ‘Water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect”

(“Pelican”) guarantees its Remote Area Lighting Systems (RALS) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, service, and maintenance for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
CAUTION: The Pelican Products RALS models 9460 and 9470 contain sealed lead acid batteries that can generate hydrogen gas when charging. It is imperative that these products are charged, as instructed, with the case lid open to allow any gases to escape as charging with the lid closed poses a significant hazard. Failure to abide by this instruction could result in injury and/or damage to property. Please refer to the warnings provided in the instructions for the unit and on a decal affixed to the inside of the case adjacent to the cavity where the charger unit is packed.
